POSITION SUMMARY

Kahala Management is the parent company of multiple QSR restaurants (Cold Stone Creamery, Blimpie, Great Steak, Samurai Sam’s, Taco Time, Baja Fresh, and many more) both domestically and internationally. We seek a candidate who is detail oriented, a team player, willing to learn, and has a strong commercial real estate background. The main responsibilities would include assisting franchisees in finding quality locations and competitive rates in a timely fashion while meeting the brand standards for each concept.

• Research and manage market strategy in connection with new store development and/or relocations.
• Develop a network of commercial real estate brokers and manage site selection for new store development.
• Develops and maintains relationships with franchisees to ensure a timely identification of sites and the following of internal processes and systems.
• Proactively identify sites in target markets and provide information to development team to enable the unification of franchisee with site.
• Provide education and support to franchisees to enable them to identify better sites, sooner and at better rates.
• Package and present prospective development sites to Site Approval Committee for review and authorization.
• Coordinate the site development or tenant improvement construction process with members of the Construction Department
• Assist in executing any special Company projects requiring the expertise of the real estate department.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with other departments outside real estate (Franchise Dev, Legal, Construction).
• Conduct portfolio reviews with major developers to market the Kahala Brands concepts.

• 5+ years of successful commercial real estate experience; restaurant leasing experience preferred.
• Previous experience working and succeeding with franchisees required.
• Current network of Brokers throughout the United States
• Strong ability to negotiate contracts and leases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills, and strong relationship skills.
• Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals.
• High level of attention to detail and good time management.
