This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Boston HQ. Monday-Thursday will be working in office and Friday is WFH. This is not a virtual / remote position. Wayfair’s Paid Search team is looking for a data-driven Manager to drive strategy and execution across our Search Engine Marketing (SEM) channels. As a member of Wayfair’s marketing team you will help drive growth in a fast-paced environment. You will own your roadmap, come up with creative solutions to strategic and operational problems, and manage a team of highly analytical analysts to operate a cutting-edge digital marketing channel. The Paid Search team at Wayfair runs multi-million dollar campaigns to capture demand from customers shopping for our categories across search engines. We build and leverage cutting edge campaign automation and bidding solutions designed in-house to optimize our campaigns and maximize revenue. We use advanced analytics to find and optimize growth opportunities and ensure our customers find and purchase what they need across our stores. We’re responsible for bidding on the right set of millions of ads, valuing willingness to pay for each, and developing creative and landing page strategies to best monetize search engine traffic. We collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to build new capabilities for the channel and rapidly iterate on new opportunities and nascent product categories. What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of analysts to manage and grow the SEM channels for Wayfair by developing processes and automation that drive measurable results, and communicating progress and performance to marketing leadership. Work cross-functionally with Marketing Technology, Data Science, Creative, Category Management, and other teams to partner on strategies that grow the channel. Cultivate and strengthen interpersonal relationships with vendor partners, including Google and Microsoft. Closely monitor campaign performance daily, identify and root cause problem solve abnormalities, and react to deviations from plan quickly and strategically. Institute rigorous strategic planning, road mapping, and test-and-learn methodologies to set goals and achieve desired results. What You Need: 4+ years’ experience in a heavily quantitative and analytical role (in finance, data analytics, or strategy field with a track record of success). At least 1 year of leadership experience, either formal through direct management or informal through project management or mentorship, with the ability to cultivate a collaborative team culture. Excellent analytical skills with experience using data analytics tools like SQL, R, Python. Experience developing roadmaps and informing marketing strategies. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with demonstrated experience effectively working with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to identify value and prioritize work while collaborating with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities. Ability to independently scope ambiguous problems and execute on solutions. An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action. About Wayfair Inc.
