Volt is immediately hiring for a Welder in Irvine, California As a level 3 welder you will:
- With minimum supervision, level three welders work under direct supervision to weld small assemblies in a limited number of weld types and positions, demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot equipment and weld quality issues. Level three welders are certified to 3G as well as to internal certifications. Level three welders perform basic welding operations using TIG (GTAW) mostly on stainless steel. Must be a US citizen to be in the position
- Intermediate TIG welding operations, i.e. corner welds
- Accurately follow work instructions and work with engineering department on process improvements
- Weld assemblies of all levels of complexity and materials, including stainless, aluminum
- Complete additional operations including cleaning parts, deburring, de-magnetizing, and timing components
- Maintain a clean work area and diligently follow Preventative Maintenance plan on machine
This is a
full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Advanced print reading
- Welding symbol knowledge
- Intermediate shop math
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task on various operations while machine is pumping down
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
- 2-4 years of experience
Pay Rate: $35.00-$40.00 hour Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM (weekends when needed)
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
