Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their team in a corrections setting. This is a day shift position, with a schedule of 0445•1715. The assignment will last for 13 weeks, with the possibility of overtime based on performance and need. Responsibilities: • Providing nursing care to patients within a correctional facility • Floating to different units as needed • Adhering to all facility policies and procedures Requirements: • Must have a Compact or Texas LVN license • Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience • At least 1 year of Acute Care or Med Surg experience • Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, and/or Psych is a plus • Must have IV Therapy certification • BLS certification • COVID•19 vaccination required, but exemptions are accepted Ideal Candidate: • Thick•skinned and independent • Able to avoid participation in internal issues and gossip • Thrives in a fast•paced environment Please note that the work week is Saturday – Friday, and this is how overtime is calculated. You may be asked to float to different units that are within 10 • 30 minutes of each other. Refusal to float or divert will result in a Do Not Rehire (DNR) status.
