Job Description

Title: Stipend - Lighting Designer (Spring Musical) (CHS) (SY24-25)

Dates: January 2025 - April 2025

Lighting Designer Duties:

Design and create the lights for the musical according to scale of performance area and vision of the director. The lighting designer is expected to have at least one production meeting with the production team before the audition process
begins. After that point, it is expected that the designer and production team will remain in contact on an as needed basis and will have at least one formal production status meeting, approximately half way through the rehearsal process. The lights, with the exception of some minor adjustments, should be complete no later than the week before the Monday of week of production. The lighting designer is expected to hold zoom meetings with cast members regularly to ensure proper lighting technique is used for the recording of scenes. The lighting designer will collect and distribute any lighting instruments to cast members to support their recordings and the vision of
the director.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with experience in play production.

COMPENSATION: Stipend- $1,000
