SR. WIRELESS ENGINEER (SME)25 % TRAVEL (75% Remote work) Bella Information Systems looking for two FTE SR. WIRELESS ENGINEER (SME).
Wireless engineers will engineer, design, implement and troubleshoot wireless data systems to include Juniper and Cisco systems across the county in VA owned and leased spaces. Projects will include enhancements to security, transition to IPv6, automation, design, and configuration planning of new equipment. They will lead implementations with multiple VA teams to accomplish mission goals. This LCAT has been identified as resident engineer. Resident engineer must meet the following requirements:
1. Expertise with Cisco and Juniper wireless systems
2. Expertise with designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise level large, multi-site, multi-vendor wireless systems .
3. Expertise in deployment automation, vulnerability remediations, updates and configuration of wireless systems
4. Expertise with oversight of a team running a trouble ticket system.
5. Demonstrated success using modern DevOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools.
6. Demonstrated ability to drive frequent release cycles (daily/weekly).
7. Minimum Education Level
a. Current CCIE Wireless Certification
b. Current JNCIA-MISTAI Certification
8. Minimum 15 years’ experience as wireless engineer spanning multiple locations.
