WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

As a Project Manager, you will independently manage projects and oversee the design process while ensuring the completion of QA/QC processes. This role requires close collaboration with Senior Leaders on additional projects and involves supervising engineers and staff, ensuring their development and performance. You will also participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation, and contribute to the execution of strategic and sales plans for your team. A strong background in private land/site development is essential for success in this role.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Manage multi-discipline projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Oversee the completion of QA/QC processes for all projects.
  • Take responsibility for financial performance on all assigned projects and tasks.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and contribute to proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Supervise technical staff, managing their development and performance.
  • Assist in executing strategic and sales plans for the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation, or discipline-specific software.
  • Familiarity with Dunaway CAD and design standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of private land/site development processes

SKILLS:

  • Deep technical expertise in civil engineering and project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project financials and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in preparing contract fee estimates.
  • Ability to manage multiple, multi-discipline projects effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Awareness of personal limitations and when to seek additional support.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years of overall experience in civil engineering.
  • At least 6 years of civil design experience, including private land/site development projects.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), or 9 years of civil design experience without a degree.
  • 1+ years of project task management, including financial analysis.
  • 0–2 years of supervisory and business development experience.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or 9 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree
