The Berkeley Criminal Law & Justice Center is a hub for research, education and advocacy. Blending a data-driven approach with zealous advocacy, the center offers empirical insights into the intricacies of the legal system and policy outcomes. Job Summary The Program Coordinator is responsible for administering the day-to-day administrative operations for the Criminal Law & Justice Center. Under the direction and supervision of the Center Executive Directors, the Program Coordinator will assist in a wide range of administrative services, including event planning, communications, business services, and student services. Responsibilities General Administration Administers defined operational programs and activities for the Criminal Law & Justice Center. Responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of the center and programs. Serves as the administrative point of contact and responds to all administrative inquiries. Ensures that records and databases are current and accurate. Liaises with IT, Media, Facilities, and Business Services on program and event needs. Provides other administrative support for the center. Event Coordination Assists in planning and budgeting for activities and events. Coordinates and administers internal and external events. Communications & Marketing Participates in the development and revision of materials for distribution. Manages the website and social media accounts for the centers. Ensures that the program's web presence is optimized. Financial & Business Operations Processes all financial transactions and functions as a resource on related issues. Ensures compliance with federal and state fiscal requirements. Assists with travel arrangements for invited speakers, staff, and students. Professional Development & Other Duties Engages in professional development and training opportunities as needed. Performs additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Knowledge of administrative operations activities. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Strong planning, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite. Ability to learn new computer programs and software systems. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Adobe tools and data management software platforms. Experience with print and digital marketing. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.39 (Step 5) - $36.77 (Step 8).
