Pediatric Art Therapist

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Art Therapy.
• Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) within two years of appointment.
• Limited permit as an Art Therapist required at the time of appointment.

Duties:

• Designs and leads age-appropriate art therapy programs for children and adolescents.
• Supports emotional expression and coping skills through creative activities.
• Works with pediatric teams to assess children’s emotional and behavioral needs.
• Provides therapeutic interventions for children facing trauma, illness, or mental health challenges.
• Documents therapy sessions and communicates progress to healthcare teams.
• Engages families in the therapeutic process when appropriate.
