Job Description

The Foothills of North Carolina welcomes a nephrologist to replace a retiring partner and become part of a 4-physician practice that has been present for over 20 years. Full-time position to include CKD clinic, PD clinic, outpatient dialysis rounds and inpatient nephrologist responsibilities (consultant only) at the 3 neighboring hospitals. Typical week is Mon-Thu where all physicians rotate through the FTE assignments equally. Weekend call (Fri-Sun) is only the 3 hospitals (combined census 15-25) on an every-fourth schedule; weekday call typically once/week, with usually <6 phone calls/night with exceedingly rare return trips to the hospital. CKD clinic census 10-15 patients/day (set by the provider) such that the focus is on quality of care over quantity. This is an opportunity for that work/life balance we all strive to see materialize. Starting salary $300,000 with a robust patient population starting at Day #1; potential income over $500,000. Health insurance covered after initial 30 days, 401(k)/pension eligible after 365 days. Two-year partnership track with Medical Director Assignments guaranteed. Aside from the multitude of 3-day weekends, additional 20 days of PTO/year.
