We’re reimagining the future of media through community connections and creative opportunities. As a Multimedia Journalist, you will produce, shoot, and edit AMPLIFY MPLS while leading engagement initiatives that fill local news coverage gaps and keep Minneapolis residents informed and connected.
AMPLIFY MPLS is a SPEAK MPLS original weekly TV show and community engagement series featuring community stories, local news, livestreamed conversations, and event coverage, packaged for TV and digital distribution. The show elevates underrepresented voices, highlights local stories, and provides accessible civic engagement opportunities. If you're passionate about community media, civic engagement, and producing high-quality journalism that makes an impact, we’d love to have you on our team.

HOURS + COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position at $24/hr. This role is fully in-person, and the ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons, and some evenings and weekends as needed. Full-time employees receive a $200 monthly health care stipend, generous PTO, and a SPEAK MPLS membership, which includes access to all studios, equipment, co-working spaces, and media center resources. This is a two-year grant-funded position with the possibility of renewal.
