Merchandising Assistant - Jewelry

Uno Alla Volta is looking for a Merchandising Assistant - Jewelry to support the merchandising team in developing, managing, and curating the product assortment. The successful candidate will proactively gather product information, accurately maintain data, coordinate samples, and fulfill other seasonal deliverables to help bring Uno Alla Volta's assortment to life!

Responsibilities for this position, include but are not limited to:

• Sets-up and maintains seasonal assortment using proprietary collection management and sample tracking tools. Responsible for gathering and managing product attribute information & product photography and sample orders & organization.
• Assists in the assortment review and selection process by preparing appropriate documents and managing samples for seasonal calendar milestones.
• Responsible for vendor set-up and line list management of the jewelry category. Reaches out to vendors for product samples and product development and negotiates costs and payment terms. Sets up vendor codes and organizes the line list so that planning and inventory can send purchase orders. Oversees all jewelry ensuring samples ship and arrive in time for photography deadlines/photo shoots as well as ensuring copy is correct before catalogs go to print.
• Responsible for checking photo samples to ensure correct products are given to Branding and Creative to photograph for the Catalog and Web.
• Responsible for creating product pages on the website and managing existing product pages to ensure data integrity and the best customer experience.
• Places sample orders in the Sample Management system, monitors order status, establishes priorities, troubleshoots, and finds solutions.
• Receives, labels, and organizes inbound sample orders. Collaborates with warehouse, vendors, and designers to resolve discrepancies between orders and receipts. Responsible for timely sample return process from initiation to ensuring delivery to vendors and designers. Partners with warehouse as needed to unpack inbound orders and pack and ship returns.
• Maintains, manages, and organizes on-hand sample inventory and sample room for jewelry. Completes the annual sample inventory, accounting for and adjusting any discrepancies.
• Creates and maintains a sample/swatch library and archive for jewelry.
• Assists with targeted consumer research to contribute to line development and pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

• Two (2) or more years of related experience in a similar field is required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in fashion, business merchandising or retail is a plus.
• Expertise with Excel pivot tables is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changes, and meet deadlines is required.
