Job Description

Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Pre-K (2) through 8th grade school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Facilities Technician. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this role requires routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, repairing, and maintaining school facilities.

Essential Functions

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, landscaping, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for school events, meetings, and activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance duties.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, must be able to move office furniture and other items weighing up to 25 pounds, and to move items of heavier weight with the use of assistive equipment, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
• Dependability, timeliness, and reliability in fulfilling job duties.
