Description:

Assists the Lighting & Staging Supervisor in providing the design and handling of the lighting needs and requirements for all related video production activities, both in studio and on location, Kenneth Copeland Ministries, EMIC, Victory Channel and KCBC. Serve on production crew in various roles as needed, but mainly as Camera Operator for both studio and field productions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the proper hanging and rigging of all lighting instruments and related equipment.
  • Install, maintain and ensure the safe operation of all equipment and lighting instruments connected with the television lighting system or any of its portable sub-systems and parts.
  • Assist in developing creative lighting designs for all video productions.
  • Operate lighting consoles, maintain and modify existing looks
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of lighting equipment for productions.
  • Ensure all lighting equipment is stored properly and securely.
  • Serve as Camera Operator for studio and event productions.
  • Serve as Camera Operator as requested on all spots, features, special projects.
  • Operate a range of professional camera equipment and accessories.
  • Operate PTZ (robo) camera systems
  • Responsible for understanding of cinematography principles, composition, and shot framing.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with crew members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as production schedules require.
  • Help train other Camera Operators as needed for various shoots.
  • Fills in as crew member during all productions as needed.

Requirements:

EUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Graduate
  • Preferred 7 years minimum experience in lighting both in studio and in the field experience.
  • Preferred 7 years minimum experience in camera operation both in studio and in the field experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiar with industrial electrical codes and practices.
  • Ability to assist in creating and producing desired lighting effects as directed

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of seven hours per day
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment
  • Ability to work up to 25 feet above the ground using a ladder
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General working conditions are similar to any other professional tele production facility. Working with high voltages and mechanically dangerous equipment. Being able to travel and be away from home for up to a week at a time, several times each year.

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
  • Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred
  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with people of all cultures
