We are on the hunt for a dynamic and skilled IT Desktop Engineer to join our Accounting + Finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a hands-on, tech-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive 2nd tier support, troubleshooting applications, and managing mobile device support. This role requires a deep understanding of 0365 architecture, Microsoft Intune, and Powershell scripting. Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd tier support for all IT-related concerns, including desktop, software, hardware, and networking issues.
- Troubleshoot applications and software for all internal users, including remote users.
- Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Understand and support 0365 architecture and Microsoft Intune.
- Create and manage Powershell scripts to automate tasks and processes.
- Provide mobile device support, including setup, connectivity issues, and software installations.
- Assist with the onboarding of new users, ensuring that all equipment, software, and user accounts are set up correctly.
- Coordinate with the IT team to ensure that company-wide IT initiatives are implemented on time and within budget.
- Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
- Manage and implement upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.
- Experience with 0365 architecture, Microsoft Intune, and Powershell scripting is a must.
- Strong knowledge of mobile device support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operation.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Certifications in Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ are a plus.
