Job Description

Kaiser Aluminum (NASDAQ:KALU) is a leading producer of fabricated aluminum products for aerospace/high strength, general engineering, automotive and custom industrial applications. We are currently looking for candidates to join our Kalamazoo, MI high performance inside sales team that is responsible for handling both inbound customer calls as well as making outbound sales calls. The Inside Sales Representatives will be reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager and will be handling assigned customers. This person will be the direct liaison with customers for all sales related inquiries, quotes, order processing, order proofing, payment issues, order entry claims and any assigned projects by the Inside Sales Manager. Inside Sales Representatives support the 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM shifts.

Daily activities of the Inside Sales Representative typically include:

• Serve as the front line "Voice and Face" of Kaiser Aluminum with our customers.
• Ensure responsiveness to inquiries for sales quotes, orders, status updates and claims processing.
• Perform timely and accurate order entry and order status reports.
• Actively communicate with multiple plants and departments including but not limited to Accounting, Logistics, Planning, Technical, Quality and Outside Sales personnel.
• Become and remain knowledgeable on changes and developments related to sales, markets and products.
• Provide short-term business management input for production planning and scheduling.
• Keep customers and management informed of sales activity, including timely preparation of reports as requested.

Requirements

• Some post high school education in Business, Marketing, Communication, Engineering Technology or related field required; Bachelor degree preferred
• 1-3 years of related working experience
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast paced & challenging environment
• Strong attention to details required.
• Strong written and verbal communication service skills
• Proven ability to work in team environment
• Have manufacturing background (understand supply chain, dealt with OEM and distribution)
