Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support our growing retail organization across multiple locations. This role will serve as a strategic partner to store leadership, focusing on talent acquisition , employee relations , and collaborative HR initiatives that drive operational success.

The ideal candidate is passionate about people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels in building strong internal partnerships to support recruiting efforts, staff development, and a positive workplace culture.

This is an onsite 5 day a week role located in Southfield.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for retail positions across multiple store locations
  • Collaborate with store managers to forecast staffing needs and create local hiring strategies
  • Source, screen, and schedule interviews with qualified candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of diverse talent for retail and support roles
  • Partner with marketing to enhance employer branding and community outreach

Employee Relations & Support

  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address workplace concerns and promote resolution
  • Support employee onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to store teams

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure consistent application of HR practices across all locations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Internal Partnerships

  • Partner with store leadership and cross-functional teams to drive HR initiatives that support business goals
  • Contribute to culture-building initiatives across locations, including recognition programs and team development
  • Facilitate training and development efforts in coordination with the HR team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of HR generalist or recruitment experience, preferably in a retail or multi-site environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust with remote teams
  • Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
  • Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS) Workforce Now
