Position Summary:

The Human Resources assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Director. This role will manage employee day-to-day questions and assist in trouble shooting issues with HRIS. The HR assistant will be the point of contact for the employees for payroll, benefits and 401K onboarding and questions. Finally, this role will assist in setting up interviews and maintaining accurate records for the department including updated job descriptions and the company organizational chart.

Necessary Skills to Succeed:

Employee Records Management:

Maintain accurate employee files, including personal information, employment documents, performance evaluations, and leave records within the HR database.

Payroll, Benefits and 401K administration

Prepare bi-weekly payroll, ensure bi-weekly 401k remittance, ensure accuracy of benefits deductions, troubleshoot issues, answer employee questions and be the main point of contact at Feetures for employee inquiries and needs .

Recruitment Support:

Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.

Onboarding New Hires:

Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including paperwork completion, introductions to the company culture, and setting up necessary access.

Benefits Administration:

Answer employee questions regarding benefits plans, including health insurance, retirement savings, and time off policies.

Training Coordination:

Assist in the planning and logistics of employee training programs, including scheduling sessions and distributing materials.

Compliance Management:

Help ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations by maintaining accurate records and completing required reporting.

Data Entry and Reporting:

Input employee data into the HR system, generate reports on various metrics like headcount, turnover, and employee demographics.

Employee Communications:

Disseminate company announcements, policies, and updates to employees through various channels.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Strong ability to use programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook for data management and communication.
  • Proficient in payroll and 401K administration and Benefits administration ( must have a minimum of one year of experience)
  • HR Software Knowledge: Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) to generate reports
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining employee privacy and sensitive information.
  • Basic Understanding of Employment Laws: Awareness of key employment regulations to ensure compliance.

Paid Time Off and Company Paid Holidays:

  • Feetures offers 20 PTO days which are available to you on day-one of employment and are available to all employees, no matter your role. After working at Feetures for 5 years, your PTO days will increase to 25 days. These days can be used for vacations, appointments, and sick days.
