The Southern Saratoga YMCA in Clifton Park, NY is seeking dynamic individuals to fill the roles of Head Swim Instructor, Head Lifeguard, Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. These pool positions support the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening our community.

• Head Lifeguards - Part time, various shifts available
• Head Swim Instructors - Part time, various shifts available
• Lifeguards - Part time, various shifts available
• Swim Instructors - Part time, various shifts available

• AGE RESTRICTION: Minimum age of 16 years old for Entry Level positions (Lifeguards & Swim Instructors)Minimum age of 18 years old for Supervisory positions ( Head Lifeguard & Head Swim Instructor) NYS Working Papers required for applicants under 18 yrs old.
• TESTING: Be able to pass a CDYMCA swim test, administered by the Aquatics Director or designated individual.
• CERTIFICATIONS: Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid
• SKILLS: Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S):

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• HS/GED with some college preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
• Minimum one year in a supervisory role.

• Basic knowledge of computers.

• Required Certifications: Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, Lifeguard and emergency oxygen administration
