Carbonhouse, a division of AXS /AEG is a leading provider of venue, ticketing, and event-driven websites. Our websites are viewed by millions of people each year, and we have a small but dedicated team that supports these solutions. The Role We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The Front-End Developer will be responsible for the development of engaging and interactive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. This includes working with Designers to turn wireframes and designs into code and building high-quality front-end components with scalability in mind. They will also be responsible for implementing new features into the CMS, working with Client Services in scoping client requests, and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations. What Will You Do? Develop responsive websites and front-end components with HTML, CSS, and JS Support existing clients with implementing new products and upgrades Debug front-end issues related to CSS and JS Work within CMS application and code to implement website content Provide and promote the highest level of customer service Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately in a way that ensures that the information is received and easily understood Ensure that all materials and resources are effectively and efficiently utilized to minimize waste and reduce costs Work with Designers to fully implement website designs into HTML, CSS, and JS Work with Client Services on feasibility of client requests What Will You Bring? BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related area 3+years of JavaScript programming experience Experience working with HTML, CSS and SASS across multiple browsers. Experience creating responsive websites from designs. Ability to make "pixel perfect" is a plus. Experience working with javascript frameworks/tools (e.g. Vue, jQuery, webpack, etc.) Experience with Git and concepts of version control (e.g. pull requests, merge conflicts) Experience debugging issues related to front-end of websites (e.g. browser-specific style issues, javascript errors) Experience with CMS manipulation to customize for website requirements (e.g. Wordpress, PHP-based CMS) Bonus points if You Have Experience with WCAG accessibility requirements is a plus What's in it for You?
