Sovereign Consulting Inc. is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Environmental / Civil Engineer or Geologist with 5-7 years of experience for our Holyoke, MA location. Sovereign Consulting Inc. is an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Provide field and office support of site investigations involving oversight of environmental drilling, well installation and soil sampling
• Support environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remediation design
• Provide construction, excavation and dredging quality control and/or health and safety oversight
• Complete Operations & Maintenance activities for remedial systems as needed
• Assist with technical report preparation of Massachusetts Contingency Plan and ASTM documents including data input and interpretation
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Handle other related duties assigned; and
• Adherence to Sovereign Consulting Inc. health and safety procedures in all field related activities

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of related experience is required
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or environmental or geology engineering
• Desire to obtain PE or PG certification
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
• OSHA 30-hr Construction or General Industry certification, a plus
• USACE Contractor Quality Control Training or ability to be trained
• Demonstrated technical writing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft office, Adobe, MassGIS and CAD a plus
• Must have excellent communication, analytical, field sampling skills
• Must have a good driving record and be able to dive a company vehicle

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
