Emergency Room Respiratory Therapist

Qualifications:

• A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
• NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum of two years of post-A.A.S. clinical acute care experience, preferably in emergency or trauma settings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Provides immediate respiratory care for emergency and trauma patients.
• Performs intubation, airway management, and oxygen therapy in critical situations.
• Assists physicians in emergency ventilation and CPR efforts.
• Conducts arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
• Works in collaboration with ER teams to manage acute respiratory distress cases.
