JOB DUTIES:

  1. Develop, maintain and advance key long-standing relationships on behalf of the organization with numerous local, state, and federal government officials, universities, institutions, and utility providers.
  2. Schedule meetings between government officials and key company team members.
  3. Evaluate chances of gaining approvals for land use rezonings for Real Estate development projects.
  4. Evaluate chances of gaining political approvals for public-private partnership proposals.
  5. Evaluate business opportunities and legislative critical path and associated schedule for obtaining approvals.
  6. Coordinate with land use attorneys and other consultants to strategize and review technical aspects of filings, submissions, and proposals.
  7. Identify infrastructure and real estate needs for different government agencies.
  8. Identify and participate in key associations to establish and advance relationships.
  9. Source key consultant, strategy, policy, and lobbying vendors to advance and expedite initiatives.
  10. Source and work with attorneys to ensure program compliance at all times.
  11. Identify and create opportunities with local governments for our organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At minimum bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  2. Certifications or demonstrable understanding of methods and frameworks used in Lean continuous improvement.
  3. Minimum of 5 years prior job-related experience, or equivalent combination.
  4. Experience in identifying critical path and strategy to gaining legislative approvals.
  5. Strong relationship-building skills.
  6. Understanding of lobbying laws and regulations.
  7. Strategic and intentional.
