Direct Marketing Manager

Hours: Estimated 40 hours per week

Dates: 12 month contract with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role

Location: Washington, DC 20004

Schedule: Hybrid – In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

AARP is seeking a Direct Marketing Manager to join the Membership Renewals team, with a focus on managing and optimizing direct mail campaigns. Please apply to be considered.

Job Description:

• The Marketing Manager works to retain existing members through direct response and drive to web efforts.
• Strategizes, designs and executes tests to improve response.
• Evaluates performance trends and test results to identify new opportunities to improve performance.
• Partners closely within the team and with key business partners to ensure coordination and smooth execution of tests and campaigns.
• Tracks and assesses campaign results and adjusts marketing strategies and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
• Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline marketing processes and to develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is highly preferred, along with 5+ years of experience in direct response marketing.
• Proficiency in analytics is desired, as well as experience with campaign reporting tools such as BI and Tableau.
• Demonstrated expertise in direct response and drive to digital marketing strategies, particularly in campaign execution, tracking, and reporting.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• As a contractor, including remote contractors, you may be required to complete a background check.
