Position: Demand Planner
Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL
Type: Full-time
Reports to: VP of Sales
SUMMARY
GORUCK is a mission-driven company that takes pride in the quality of the products we design, the events we lead, and the communities we strengthen. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our team and help optimize our forecasting processes and accuracy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools and software to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks in demand to inform decision-making. Anticipate factors that might influence demand, such as seasonal slowdowns, upcoming promotions, and new product launches.
- Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality to develop accurate demand forecasts for our product range, and work with the VP of Sales to inform a sales plan to hit company targets. Use the forecast to inform inventory decisions, in partnership with the Supply Chain Manager, to propose purchase orders.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and inventory turnover.
- Reporting: Prepare and present demand forecasts and inventory reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance demand planning processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with supply chain lead times, manufacturing implications, promotional activities, new product launches, and market changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years experience in demand planning or inventory management, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
- Ability to follow and understand big-picture economic trends
- Strong applied math skills
- Understanding of statistical modeling
- Excellent database and Excel and Google Sheets
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Logistics
- Knowledge of inventory metrics
- Ability to translate numbers and data into reliable insight
- Understanding of seasonality and peak demand times
- Presentation skills and speaking ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
