Job Overview:
Manta Logistics is seeking a Customs Broker to oversee and ensure smooth customs operations at the shipment level. This role requires expertise in customs regulations, government agency requirements, and tariff classification, as well as the ability to manage high-profile shipments with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise customs compliance for all shipments, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Accurately classify shipments using the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and manage FDA, USDA, and USFW regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate clearance by responding to inquiries regarding shipment admissibility.
• Research and apply regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.
• Assist with Power of Attorney vetting, bond applications, and customs compliance matters .
• Troubleshoot clearance delays, holds, exams, rejections, and AMS issues.
• Liaise between US Customs, Partner Government Agencies (PGA), and clients to resolve admissibility concerns.
• Monitor and follow up on pending releases, clearance delays, and census warnings.
• Conduct timely audits on customs entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Stay up to date on Customs and PGA regulations and ensure adherence to Manta Logistics’ SOPs and compliance guidelines .

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Licensed Customs Broker (must maintain an active license).
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification (must meet annual renewal requirements).
• Strong knowledge of ACE system and customs entry processes .
• Experience working with US Customs, FDA, USDA, CDC, DEA, and US Fish and Wildlife .
• Solid understanding of Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate a 24-hour logistics operation (overtime may be required).
