Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the CEO , responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for all WisHope Recovery programs.
  • Oversee accounts payable process, verify, and ensure timely payments of invoices.
  • Reconcile financial transactions regularly to guarantee accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor cash flow and generate detailed financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Ensure strict compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and submit financial documentation for grant applications and funding reports.
  • Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team.
  • Support annual audits and coordinate with external CPAs and auditors.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data.
Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related field.
  • Minimum of 35 years of accounting experience , preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
