Entech is hiring an Elastic Engineer for a financial services client. This is a hybrid role that involves working onsite in Malvern, PA, 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize log ingestion pipelines for Elasticsearch .
• Work with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, etc.) to manage and scale Elastic-based logging solutions.
• Automate deployment and management of Elastic Stack components using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation .
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Elastic-based logging systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineers to integrate Elastic with monitoring and alerting solutions .
• Optimize indexing strategies, search performance, and data retention policies .
• Troubleshoot issues related to log ingestion, pipeline failures, and system performance.
• Stay updated with Elastic Stack advancements and AWS best practices.

Technical Skills:

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience working with Elastic Stack (ELK - Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) .
• Strong AWS experience , including services like S3, EC2, CloudWatch, Lambda, OpenSearch, IAM, and networking .
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or Terraform .
• Experience with log collection and parsing from various sources (e.g., CloudWatch Logs, S3, syslog, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) .
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills for large-scale log ingestion.
• Experience with IAM security best practices and role-based access controls in AWS.
