Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Civil and Environmental Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. The intern will work closely with our experienced engineers to assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering projects. This internship offers hands-on experience and an opportunity to develop practical skills in a real-world setting, while contributing to impactful projects that benefit our communities and environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, designing, and analyzing civil and environmental engineering projects.
  • Support project managers and engineers-in-training with research and data collection relevant to ongoing projects.
  • Participate in fieldwork, surveys, and site inspections as needed.
  • Help prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for modeling, analysis, and design tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Scheduled to take the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam (also known as the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam) during or after completing a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong academic performance with a solid foundation in engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, or similar) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Must maintain a professional and polished appearance appropriate for a client-facing role, ensuring confidence and professionalism in all interactions; the dress code in the office is business casual.
