About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) to serve as a strategic and operational leader, providing essential counsel on financial, risk, and operational strategy. The CFOO will be responsible for the efficient and effective stewardship of the company's physical and financial resources, including support services, risk management, and project management for campus initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the continued excellence of the company's financial and business operations and will involve overseeing a large team and serving as the primary liaison with the Board of Trustees' committees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior finance, leadership, and management, with a focus on strategic planning and a mission-oriented approach. Candidates for the CFOO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in financial leadership roles, with a preference for those holding an MBA and/or a related graduate degree in finance. A CPA is also strongly preferred. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in strategic financial management, operational leadership, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment. Experience in a school setting or non-profit organization is desirable. The CFOO will be expected to have strong technical and analytical acumen, and the ability to provide critical business thinking and proactive solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Head of School and Board of Trustees, overseeing financial and accounting functions, and leading the financial strategy across the organization.
