Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Morristown Medical Center, 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960
Schedule:
3 Days per Week
Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
On-Call Requirement: 1 weeknight per week (7:30 PM - 7:00 AM) and 1 weekend per month
No floating required
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to join our team at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interventional cardiology cases in Cath Labs and/or EP Labs, including procedures such as PCI, Diagnostic Heart Caths, Ablations, and Pacemakers. This role requires an RCIS certification OR a licensed Radiology Technologist with relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up for cardiac catheterization, PCI (STEMI), and other procedures (peripheral vascular, pacemaker, interventional radiology, etc.).
Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data.
Provide procedural assistance to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
Assess and manage access sites and inform physicians as needed.
Adhere to Cath Lab on-call protocols.
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed Radiologic Technologist OR RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification.
BLS and ACLS certification.
Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP).
Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, with proficiency in scrubbing interventional cardiology procedures such as STEMI, PCI, and Diagnostic Cardiac Caths.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional certifications relevant to cardiovascular procedures are a plus.
COVID-19 Requirements: Candidates must provide proof of one of the following:
Primary COVID vaccine series plus at least one booster.
Bivalent COVID vaccine (offered from September 2023).
2023-2024 Monovalent COVID vaccine.
