Are you passionate about food, events, and building lasting relationships? We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Catering Sales Manager to take charge of our local market. Overview: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving catering sales and managing relationships with local corporate clients. This role involves proactively identifying business opportunities, negotiating contracts, customizing menus, and ensuring seamless event execution. The ideal candidate will focus on building lasting relationships with local businesses and meeting sales targets, all while maintaining the highest level of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Development:

  • Identify and prospect potential corporate clients within the local market through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase catering offerings, capabilities, and menus.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at local corporations.
  • Develop customized catering proposals tailored to client needs, preferences, and budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts, finalize terms, and secure catering bookings.

Event Management:

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design customized menus and beverage options that align with client preferences.
  • Coordinate logistics for both on-site and off-site events, including event space setup, staffing, and delivery.
  • Prepare and manage detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Oversee the on-site event experience, ensuring seamless service and high client satisfaction.

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the event planning process to ensure alignment on expectations.
  • Address client concerns promptly, and proactively seek feedback to continuously improve service and offerings.
  • Foster repeat business through strong relationship management and client retention strategies.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track and analyze sales performance against established targets, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity, adjusting sales strategies as needed.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports and presentations for management, offering insights and recommendations.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Hotel Catering Sales required
  • Strong local market knowledge and connections
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events with precision and care
  • A passion for delivering memorable events and exceptional service
  • Proven experience in catering sales, particularly within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and the needs of key corporate clients.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, sales tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Culinary knowledge, with the ability to confidently discuss menu options with clients.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.

Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to work beyond standard hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the guests’ needs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
