Here, we cater to a variety of lifestyles and care levels, including senior living, assisted care, and memory care for our 157 residences.

Summary of Role

As a Caregiver, your primary mission will be to provide compassionate daily nursing care and services tailored to each resident's unique assessment and care plan. You'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, all while being supported by a fantastic team.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction of the nurse, such as range of motion exercises and assistance in ambulation.
• Provide personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Assist with household services essential to health care, including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and engage with one another.
• Observe and document the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting changes to the nurse.
• Respond courteously to resident requests for assistance and emergency pull cords.
• Promote personal safety and a safe environment by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations.
• Assist residents in preparing for appointments and social programs.
• Help with moving and transporting residents as needed.
• Support residents in walking with or without self-help devices as instructed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Tactful communication with residents, families, and team members.
• Comfortable working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals.
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English for effective communication.

Education and Experience

• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant or a licensed Medication Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• Preferred: 6 months or more of experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care facilities.
