What: Business Analyst

Pay Rate: $35-$43/hr

Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Term: 6 Month Contract-to-hire

Overview:

A digital services team is developing customer-focused mobile applications primarily for the automotive sector. They seek a Business Analyst to assist in expanding and refining digital products. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software development, design, marketing, and customer support, to enhance user experience and product success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in a product scrum team, conducting business and technical analysis.
• Support key initiatives by developing business cases and recommending/implementing business processes or system solutions.
• Gather and document user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead or contribute to brainstorming and ideation sessions.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support release management.
• Provide user support and develop reports/dashboards.
• Organize and conduct user training.
• Create and distribute communication materials for various stakeholders.
• Collaborate extensively with IT teams, consultants, and external partners.

Work Environment:

This hybrid role requires a combination of in-person collaboration and independent work, with a schedule split between onsite and remote work.

Business and Technical Analysis Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and analyze requirements.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business needs.
• Align priorities with business value and feasibility to support strategic goals.
• Convert complex business processes into clear, actionable requirements.
• Identify and validate interdependencies, risks, and potential issues.
• Develop process flow diagrams.
• Assist product owners in creating user stories with acceptance criteria and managing backlog items using tools like JIRA.
• Support backlog refinement by organizing and prioritizing user stories for comprehensive solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure backlog consistency.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans and cases for system testing and UAT to ensure quality releases.
• Oversee business analysis during software upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance cycles.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams.
• Assist in the development of charters and business cases, evaluating feasibility and providing recommendations.
• Collaborate with UX designers and development teams to refine and improve digital products.
