We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Consulting Real Estate Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. This role will be pivotal in managing accounting and financial functions for our diverse real estate portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial analysis, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and performing bookkeeping duties. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and account reconciliation is a must. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and prepare detailed reports on findings.
  • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with company accounting policies.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain complex financial models and reports.
  • Use QuickBooks for daily accounting tasks and financial management.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to streamline accounting processes and operations.
  • Provide strategic financial advice based on analysis to aid in company decision making.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business and plus.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the real estate sector.
  • Proven experience with financial analysis, general ledger, financial statements, bookkeeping, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks or Yardi, and account reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
