Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, energetic, and friendly Barista to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare their coffee orders and pack their baked goods. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their time at our shop and receive high quality products along with exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a team player, passionate about coffee and is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction from the moment they enter to the moment they leave.
This barista position will be for our UES location- 401 EAST 90TH ST NY,NY 10128

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile
• Responsibly and punctually arrive to every shift in a timely manner
• Meticulously follow directions and procedures
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Explain the menu items to customers and answer all questions with a smile
• Create a variety of espresso-based drinks
• Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
• Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications :

• Familiarity with food safety guidelines
• Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain directly after hiring
• Excellent customer service skills
• Maintain full schedule flexibility throughout our busy holidays and seasons.
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain productive in a slow-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to work flexibly between two locations if necessary/
