Municipal Apparel HQ is a unique concept retail store located in beautiful Oceanside, CA. We blend high-quality apparel with a curated selection of lifestyle goods, creating a vibrant and engaging shopping experience. We're looking for a skilled and passionate barber to join our team and enhance our customer experience by offering top-notch grooming services within our retail space.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Barber to provide exceptional haircuts and grooming services to our clientele within our dynamic retail environment. This position offers a free booth space within our unique concept store in a stylish, high-traffic location. The ideal candidate is a local to Oceanside, possesses their own barbering insurance, and has an established social media presence to help promote their services and the Municipal Apparel brand. They will handle the calendar of clients and payment of their services on their own, and will have the added bonus of being part of the Municipal team.

Responsibilities:

· Provide professional haircuts, shaves, and other grooming services to clients, adhering to the highest standards of quality and sanitation.

· Consult with clients to understand their desired style and preferences, offering expert advice and recommendations.

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized and sterilized.

· Maintain and grow a loyal clientele through exceptional customer service and relationship building.

· Promote barbering services and special offers to customers within the retail store.

· Actively engage with customers and contribute to the positive and welcoming atmosphere of Municipal Apparel.

· Utilize and grow your social media presence to showcase your work and attract new clients to your booth within Municipal Apparel.

· Adhere to all California state barbering regulations and maintain a valid barbering license.

Qualifications:

· Local to Oceanside, CA (Preferred): Familiarity with the local community and clientele is highly desired.

· Valid California Barber License: Must possess a current and unrestricted California Barber License.

· Barbering Insurance: Must carry and maintain your own professional liability insurance.

· Established Social Media Following: A demonstrated social media presence showcasing your work and engaging with potential clients.

· Excellent Customer Service Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients and provide a personalized and enjoyable experience.

· Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients regarding their desired services.

· Proficiency in Various Cutting Techniques: Expertise in a range of haircutting and styling methods for diverse hair types.

· Clean and Organized Work Habits: Maintaining a sanitary and professional workspace is essential.

· Positive Attitude and Team Player: Contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Schedule:

· 3-5 days a week, flexible scheduling based on client demand and store hours. Barber will be tendering out his own clients and will need to possess their own equipment to do so, ex: Square, Zelle, Venmo, etc.
