Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centersis seeking a full-time Pre-Authorization Specialist.

The main responsibility of this position is acquiring authorizations/re-authorizations from insurance companies for our patients.

Location: On-site

Hours: Full-time, 8:00-5:00 Monday - Friday

Wage $20 - $25

Main Duties:

• Secure prior authorization for patients prior to receiving therapy services.
• Work closely with therapists, front desk, and billing department staff to ensure seamless delivery of therapy services.
• Communicate to upper management any and all obstacles or problems.

Requirements:

• At minimum, a basic understanding of healthcare Pre-Authorization procedures.
• This position will require a great deal of organizational skills.
• The right candidate must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Able to clearly communicate with insurance companies, patients and health care providers.
• Be able to become proficient in the use of our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Basic skills in regard to Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• The ability to follow HIPAA rules regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Present yourself professionally and courteously in person andon the phone.

Education and Experience:

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in medical billing preferred, but will train the right candidate.
